A cast copper-alloy double-framed buckle of early post-Medieval date. Each frame is D-shaped in plan, with a widening of the outer frame which bears three incised lines as decoration. In section, the frames are triangular. The central cross bar, however, is square in section. The buckle is bent outward from the crossbar, so that in profile it is V-shaped. The pin is missing.

A cast buckle of Post Medival date. The buckle has a circular frame with a cross bar across the centre. The frame is decorated on its surface with what looks like twisted wire/rope but is actually cast integrally with the buckle. Similar to find No. NCL-8FB396 as it appears that its manufacturing has not been finished - found in the same area.

A decorated, copper-alloy buckle plate of the 13th-early 14th centuries. The buckle plate is rectangular in plan and made from a single sheet of copper alloy, but missing about 20% of it in the lower lefthand corner. There are two circular rivet holes near the right edge of the plate, and there is a remainder of one of two hinges on the left edge of the buckle plate. Cast copper alloy Post Medieval buckle. It is square in plan with rounded edges. It has a separate spindle (made of iron) which still has the pin and part of the plate attached. The frame is decorated all over with grooved lines. The two vertical edges having simple lines from one edge to the other. The horizontal edges having a criss cross pattern. In profile the buckle is slightly curved. This sort of buckle dates from about 1650 - 1750 AD. Buckles in a similar styles can be seen in Whitehead.

A copper alloy buckle of mid 13th century date. The outer frame is thickened by three knops; the two outer knops have a collar which separates them from the central knop which has a central grooved band. The arms of the frame a curved outward and the crossbar is recessed. The pin is a strip of collar alloy with a hooked end to serve as a hinge. It is also bent through wear or strain. There appears to be the remains of a roller between the pin hinge and the crossbar.

The buckle plate consists of two trapezoidal loops with a central hemispherical section bar - the central bar has iron corrosion adhering to it; one of the outer edges has two oval end knops and a triangular notched pin rest; the other outer edge finishes with two large circular knops on the end of winged extensions; between the winged extensions are a series of rounded mouldings.
