Medieval to early post medieval cast lead alloy, or lead, perforated circular weight or spindle whorl. The weight has a circular perforation through the centre. The weight appears to have seen a lot of use as there is a great deal of wear and is heavily damaged being somewhat flattened. In the "Finds Recording Guide", Geake (2001, p66) points out that: "The function of lead weights would have varied, from spindle-whorls to fishing weights to trade weights." It has a small central circular perforation with an internal diameter of 7.93mm. One face is decorated with a series of moulded lines and pellets. Fragment of copper-alloy medieval casket key consisting of the middle section of the shank (broken at both ends) and an intact simple bit, c. 1100 - 1500 AD. The bit end of the shaft is hollow. The key has a dark green patina due to corrosion of the copper-alloy. The length is 68mm, the width is 20mm and the weight 16.75g. There are a number of complete examples of similar keys on the database, including: YORYM - 59AA8A and LVPL - 70A078, the latter of which has been dated to the 14th century.

Copper alloy single looped buckle dating 1300 to 1400AD. The buckle has a lipped frame housing a notch for the pin which is now missing. The strap bar is offset to provide a tidier for the buckle plate which is intact. The short tongue indicates that it was probably used for a sword belt. The length is 30mm, the width is 15mm and the weight 1.51g. Similar to a number of Buckles pictured on p.20 & 21 such as no.71 in Whitehead. R. 2003. Buckles: 1250-1800. Greenlight (Witham) Essex.

A late medieval corroded iron double looped buckle dating to 15th century. The frame is rectangular with two rectangular loops, separated by a central crossbar. The edges of the loops are rounded. The crossbar flares from the frame with a constriction in the centre for a pin. Part of the pin remains and is formed of a strip of iron cored into the central crossbar. Roman to Post Medieval bell shaped lead or lead alloy suspended weight. At the apex of the 'bell' is the staining from the remains of the original trapped iron suspension loop. The sides below the apex have been chamfered and there is evidence, in the form of shallow depressions, that an attempt to create a perforation for a new suspension point was started. Dates to between c43 and c1750 AD. The height is 38mm, diameter is 23mm and the weight is 94.3g. Similar records on the database include WILT-EE98CC and SUSS-31E831.

Lead trial piece for a double-loop oval buckle of late medieval to post-medieval date (c.1450 - 1650 AD). The object is flat on the underside and has the outline of a decorative double-loop oval buckle on the front face. The buckle design curves in at the strap bar and the inner edges of the loops curve in at each end. Each end of the strap bar appears to have moulded decoration, executed as a pair of knobs flanking the strap bar. The object has a patchy white and brown patina.
