Flint pendant of possible Prehistoric date, though a more Modern date cannot be ruled out.
The pendant is a drop-shaped nodule of flint with a perforation of diameter 4.14mm at the rounded end. The perforation appears to have been drilled through the flint, though some chipping is apparent around the edges of the perforation on one face. One face of the pendant is relatively flat while the other has a vertical medial ridge with faces rising to join it. The flint has only been roughly knapped on this latter face.

A fragment of a copper alloy figurine of uncertain date, possibly Roman to Medieval (AD 1-1500). The fragment is sub-square in plan and curves in profile. The details represent the top of a figure's head with forehead, hair combed back and the top of the ear visible. The hair appears to have been painted red. The patina is light green.
A similar fragment recorded on the PAS database is LEIC-328D15. However, this example shows more detail in the hairstyle more securely suggesting the figurine depicted a Roman female. Owing to the lack of such detail in the fragment in question a broader date of Roman to Medieval has been applied here.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 20.16mm in length, 26.33mm in width, 3.69mm in thickness and 5.62g in weight.

A lead alloy spindle whorl of unknown date. The whorl is biconvex with a large central hole. The surface is very pitted and rough. It has a diameter of 24.4mm and is 13.4mm thick. Helen Geake writes: "Dating of lead whorls is difficult. The drop spindle with which they were used continued in use until the end of the medieval period in London and Winchester (Egan, 1998, "The Medieval Household: Daily Living c1150 - c1450"; and Biddle, 1990, "Object and Economy in Medieval Winchester"), and for perhaps a century longer in Norfolk (Margeson, 1993, "Norwich Households: Medieval and Post Medieval finds from Norwich Survey Excavations 1971 - 78"). The excavated assemblage from Winchester contains one lead whorl from a mid to late tenth century context." Whorls have also been found in association with Roman buildings. Undecorated spindle whorls can therefore date from the Roman, Early Medieval or Medieval periods.

A worn and corroded sub-conical weight cast in lead. The crude base bears an off-centre perforation which runs along the length of the object (Dia.: c. 7.6mm); the hole tapers slightly towards the top. Around the hole is possibly a circular groove. This weight is undiagnostic and could date anywhere from the Roman to post-medieval periods.

The hammer is formed in two parts, the handle and head, which are joined together by inserting the handle through a hole in the head. This has been secured through the head by the top of the handle being struck like a rivet and flattened. The hammer head is irregular in shape and broadly oval in cross section. It tapers and expands evenly along its length. The handle is oval in cross section and sub-rectangular in plan. There is no decoration on any part of the object. It measures 44.2mm length, 19.6mm width, is 7.8mm thick, and weighs 15.14 grams.
The hammer is a mid grey cream colour with an even but slightly corroded patina which covers all surfaces. Much of this patina has been removed from the handle by movement in the ploughsoil. Where this has occurred a light grey powdery corrosion product is present. A direct parallel for this object has not been found. Small lead tools, specifically axes, are relatively common Roman votive artefacts but this does not seem to fit within the corpus. The patina and construction of the piece suggests a date of more than 300 years but due to the lack of parallels a positive identification and date cannot be given.

Length 40.2mm, width 37.8mm and overall thickness 12.3mm. Weight 61.15g.
The object is crudely made. It is mainly in the form of a sub-square tablet which has a maximum thickness of 6.1mm and a minimum thickness of 3.4mm. In plan, the tablet has rounded corners. On the front face it has an indeterminate design within a sub-square border. However, the design is obscured by pitting and corrosion as well as old and modern scuff marks. The rear face of the tablet is largely flat at either side of a slightly off-centre casting seam. The seam extends the full width of the object. About mid-way along the length of the seam there is a sub-triangular feature which is bent over at an angle of almost 90° to the rear face. This feature may be a handle although it is more likely to be casting sprue.

Lead weights are very imperfectly understood currently. It is hoped that by recording them as often as possible, a large body of data that can be studied will be built up. This example weighs 30g. Alternatively, the object could be a knop that was attached to some larger artifact by a pin in the hole. The object is patinated and is a yellowish grey colour.
