A highly worn and corroded 3rd-century Roman copper-alloy radiate probably of Gallienus (sole reign), probable Sol reverse, Rome mint (260-68 AD; Reece issue period 13; Normanby 232). This coin has suffered some circumferential depletion. This appears to be an ORIENS type of Gallienus with the officina letter zeta in the right-hand field. This rare variety is published in the Normanby hoard.
