A Copper alloy fragmet of uncertain date. The fragment forms the junction between a loop and a bar, both of which features are missing from old breaks. The Junction is decorated with three concentric bands, each overlapping the one below it. These bands have been decorated with incised diagonal lines. The same design appears to continue around the outside of the loop. The fragment is reminisant of the juctoin between the loop and the shank on a medieval key, but it appears too elaborate and is too fragmenty to indentfy what object it is with any certainty.

The head has a copper alloy cap; the top of the cap has a domed centre and flat rim, this rim bends underneath at 45 degrees and also broken in parts probably originally fitted over the head of the iron nail or pin. A cast lead weight of possible Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is rectangular in plan, trapezoidal in section and with faceted exterior edges on the top surface. Both front and back faces appear to be undecorated and the casting is crudly done. It measures 39.6mm in length, 34.4mm in width, 15.1mm in thickness, and weighs 167.8 grams. The lack of defined decorative motifs renders the dating of this object uncertain, although associated finds might indicate a Medeival to Post-Medieval periods.

an incomplete blue glass bead. The bead has broken in half down the length. The bead appears it would have been cylindrical in shape, with flat top and bottom. The bead has an opaque blue glass on the outside, then a 2.5mm band of clear blue glass inside this, and then the center of the bead is again the opaque blue glass. This means that the top and bottom of the bead have a target pattern in the different glasses, with the circular hole in the center. The break in the bead looks as though it could be recent, as the edges are sharp. Beads are difficult to date, and it could be Roman …

A worked falke of uncetrain date, possibly Neolithic to Bronze Age. The flake has a very flat break through the bulb of percussion on the ventral face with some conchoidal rippling. The break has removed the stricking platform completely. The edges are straight then taper to a curved point.. The dorsal face is mostly covered with cortex. There is some evidance of retouch along one edge, suggesting this flake could have been used as scrapper.

An incomplete unidentified cast copper alloy object, probably dating to between the Roman and Post Medieval periods (c. 43-1700 AD). The object consists of a broken fragment of a circular suspension loop, followed by a small raised moulded square and progressing into a long thin strip which widens slightly as it progresses away from the suspension loop towards its flat-edged end. The flat end does not seem to be broken at all, although this could be due to smoothing of the break surface during deposition. The item ranges from a flat cross-section at loop to D-shaped section to thin D…

Two pieces of a possible fitting. Both are made of brass (see attached analysis). They were examined by medieval and post-medieval curators who were unsure of the pieces' date. As two objects of base metal composition, this find fails to meet the criteria for 'Treasure' as stipulated by the Treasure Act 1996. Ian Richardson

An unidentified object of uncertain date. The object is an irregular triangle in shape with an irregular knop projecting from the shortest edge. It is unclear whether the cross section of the object is lentoid or not, due to ware, but it is suspected that it is not. It is there for thought that the object could be casting waste which is fortuously broken to make it look like an artefact. The object is 41.6mm long, 15.6mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 3.6 grams.

Five fragments of copper alloy work waste. Four of the fragments appear to be waste from working with molten copper alloy, while the fifth is a folded piece of copper alloy sheet. 74.4 grams in total. It is not possible to date waste pieces such as these outside of an excavated context, but they could indicate metal working activity near the location in which they were found.
