An incomplete cloth seal of Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). Diameter 27.0mm and 2.6mm thick. Weight 5.06g. This two-disc seal is of a type associated with imports from Haarlem in the Netherlands of a fine linen known in England as 'holland'. The seal has been deliberately cut in half and has a clean smooth break. Disc 1, 27.0mm in diameter. Moulded shield with arms? at centre? A corroded copper-alloy belt mount or horse harness decoration of post-medieval date. A parallel for this piece is illustrated by Brian Read in his book "Metal artefacts of antiquity" (2001; pp. 29; no. 336). Mounts with two integral rivets are generally thought to be 17th century in date.

A cast copper alloy Charles I unite (20 shilling) coin weight, dating from between 1625-32. The flat square weight measures 17mm by 16.9mm by 4.4mm and weighs 8.5g. On the front there is a stamped crown, with XXs (for 10 shillings) underneath and a counterstamp to the right of the crown. On the back is a left-facing bust of Charles I.

Incomplete cast copper alloy strap fitting of probable post-medieval date (1500-1700). The strap fitting is broadly sub-rectangular in plan and the body of the fitting is domed (D shaped) in cross-section; the edges are beveled. The front face has been decorated with a number of both cast and incised decoration. This decoration consists of a repeating floral pattern which is contained within a simple border which is incised on the beveled edges of the fitting. Fragment of a cast copper alloy double looped (spectacle) buckle of post-medieval date (1600-1750). The fragment is from one end of the frame; the rest of the frame and pin are missing. The extant fragment consists of a decorated pin-rest and a series of floral (rose) decorations. A silvered / tin surface has been applied to the front face of the frame. The reverse of the frame is plain and undecorated. Both the breaks on either end are much worn and abraded suggesting that the damage is relatively old. Fragment of a glass bowl with an everted folded rim. The bowl was likely shallow with a broad rim. The rim is oval in section and the bowl would have been circular in plan. The glass is a pale greenish grey colour and translucent, with dirt trapped within the folded rim. Margeson (1993) illustrates a similar example from Norwich on page 110, Fig.74, No.710, which is dated to the 17th century.

Incomplete cast copper alloy mount with asymmetrical trefoil top, waisted middle, and trefoil end tapering to a point. There are the remains, just the bases, which have been worn flat, of the two integral lugs on the back of the mount.
Read (2001) illustrates similar examples on page 34, Fig.19, Nos.288-290, which are dated to the 17th century.
Read (1988) illustrates a similar example on page 116, No.750, which is dated from the 16th to the 17th century.
