It is trapezoidal in shape, with a rounded projection from the centre of one shorter side, and iron corrosion adhering to the centre of the opposite shorter side. There are traces of white metal coating on both front and back faces. The mount measures 18.46mm in length, 26.9mm in width and weighs 2.62g. Examples of this type of strap loop have been recorded from medieval London in a fourteenth century context.

There are the remains, just the bases, which have been worn flat, of the two integral lugs on the back of the mount. Read (2001) illustrates similar examples on page 34, Fig.19, Nos.288-290, which are dated to the 17th century. Read (1988) illustrates a similar example on page 116, No.750, which is dated from the 16th to the 17th century.

A copper alloy mount in the form of a finely moulded deer’s head. The mount is convex and is sub triangular but with the deer’s antlers projecting above. It is 32.6mm long, 29.2mm wide and 7.3mm thick. The stag’s head is moulded in relief. Each antler has three prongs, there is moulding to suggest the animal’s hair on its forehead, the ears and eyes are oval and there are clear circular nostrils. Copper alloy early post-medieval dress hook imitation made from one piece of sheet metal. Consists of 3 semi-spherical hollow domes connected by a central flat area. In the central piece is a circular perforation. Each dome is decorated with 3 sets of ring and dot decoration. The hole probably had a backplate with bar and hook rivetted on which has now broken off. It is also possible that this was an unfinished frontplate. A similar example made from lead, but not as complete can be seen at SOMDOR-01C437.

Roman cast copper alloy mount or stud. This circular mount has a wide central domed area, surrounded by a flat rim. The reverse of the mount has a wide shaft for attachment. The mount is similar to Oldenstein taf 49 no558.

Copper alloy lozenge-shaped mount with two perforations. The orientation the perforations is such that the mount was probably not used. The perforations have been made from the reverse side, leaving an irregular lip around each perforation. There is an incised groove around the edge; the edge of the mount has been damaged, but what remains has been segmented by incised grooves. The reverse of the object is rough and appears to be unfinished.
