Leaf arrowhead of early-mid Neolithic date (4000 - 3300 BC). The flint is a tertiary flake, is white/off -white in colour, is opaque and is lancolate shaped with a round base. The flint has covering, scaled, low angle, soft hammer retouch to both sides with additional short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch to the edges. The flint is 33.3mm long x 19.1mm wide x 3.2mm thick and weighs 1.73g.

A flint possible leaf arrowhead fragment dating from the Early Neolithic (about 4000 - 3300 BC). Only the rounded butt end of the possible arrowhead survives. It is formed on the distal end of a flake of mottled mid grey flint. The flake has a convex base, damaged concave side snd a snapped straight top where the point is missing. It is pointed oval in cross section. The dorsal face is covered with low-angle scaled removals. A leaf shaped flint arrowhead dating from the early Neolithic period, 4000 - 3500 BC. It is made from a flake of dark grey opaque flint with some well developed patina at the tip of the dorsal face, and some speckles of patina forming on the rest of the object. It is ogival with a round base in plan and a pointed oval in section. It is invasively worked with scaled , low-angle covering retouch on both faces. It is 40.9mm long, 26mm wide and 5.4mm thick. it weighs 6.02gm.
Similar arrowheads are illustrated in Butler, 2005, Prehistoric Flintwork, pages 123 and 124.

Grey semi-translucent flint with cloudy patches of patina possible leaf arrowhead. Thin flake of irregular rhomboid form with covering low angle scalar parallel retouch on its dorsal side and ripples on the ventral. This falls between the curved leaf form and the angular very finely finished points of the later Neolithic, of which the quality of this example falls far short. An irregular leaf-shaped very coarse flint or chert arrowhead of probable Neolithic date (2900 - 2150 BC). The arrowhead has been broken in the ploughsoil and several edges and the tip have been removed. The arrowhead is lentoid (sub-rectangular) in plan and lentoid in cross section. It has been knapped from a very poorly quality mid orange / yellow coloured coarse flint. Both faces of the arrowhead have been pressure (ripple) flaked with a series of small neat narrow facets. An incomplete knapped or flaked flint leaf shaped arrowhead, of Neolithic dating (c. 3500 BC to c. 2500 BC).
The arrowhead is approximately 90% complete, missing the pointed tip. The arrowhead is leaf shaped in plan, and would have consisted of a pointed oval shape with a semi circular base. It has been made from a piece of tertiary debitage as no cortex (outer rind) is present on either the dorsal (upper) or ventral (lower) faces. Both faces exhibit a large amount of controlled flaking, with retouch present along the edges.

Tiny leaf-shaped arrowhead on a flake that has possibly been struck from re-used material or core. Butt located on lower right edge. The other edges have been abruptly flaked to shape.

Neolithic flint leaf-shaped arrowhead.
Tertiary flake, light greyish-cream opaque patina with iron staining. Plain butt located on the upper right edge. Base abruptly flaked, with a small ventral notch on the right for hafting. Left edge appears to have been abruptly flaked in parts to shape both directly and indirectly.

Possibly a pot-lid, mottled mid and dark grey opaque patina. Cortical dorsal face. Semi-abrupt, scaler, inverse retouch to shape the right edge. Base worked on the dorsal face, as is the tip.
