Lead window came fragment. A short length of cast H-section window came with a trapped fragment of dark degraded glass at one end on one side. Patinated. This came would have permitted the setting of two small adjacent panes. The glass is reverting to its constituent ingredients, which is a feature of a medieval ‘forest’ glass made using potash, rather than the more robust soda glasses of earlier and later times. Lead window came. Fragment of cast came of H-section, clenched with a gutter 2mm wide, suggesting the thickness of glass held. This may indicate a Late Medieval or Post-Medieval date, as 13th-to-14th-century glass could be between 3 and 5mm thick. Suggested date: Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval, 1400-1600. Length: 23.01mm, Width: 11.95mm, Thickness: 8.5mm, Weight: 11.45g.

Lead and copper alloy weight. Cast plano-convex oval or coffee-bean-shaped object with an embedded longitudinal copper alloy strip [of length 17.7mm and width 1.3mm] which appears on both the flat and convex or keeled sides of the object. There is the suspicion of a basal rim, which might be apt to a piece for a board game, as kindly suggested by the finder. Patinated. The neat and vulvate appearance might point to a Roman date.
