Copper alloy probable brooch. Cast possible cruciform brooch, as kindly suggested by the finder, damaged, twisted and bubbled by intense heat. The qualification of his identification arises from the straight and unbowed mid-bow, and the very plain display side, though twin U-shaped lugs on the back would tend to support identification as a brooch. The head is now rounded with two spurs towards its top end, with bubbled relief on the back. This zone includes the ghost of a horizontal rib with other features around it.
