Lead alloy possible syringe. Cast tube, open at one collared end and with a curved end with aperture of diameter 3.7mm at the other and the stub of a narrower continuation. A paired line is inscribed close to the mid point of the cylinder. Chipped recently towards its open end with a fragment detached. This is suggested to be the cylinder for a syringe for either medical or veterinary use. Cast round section rod with two integrally cast round plates towards its wider end, the larger of diameter 17.4mm and the smaller, at the end, of diameter 17.1mm with a pair of opposed drilled holes of diameter 3.7mm. Functions might include a plunger or a bobbin. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1600-1800.

Copper alloy probable syringe fragment. A tube probably constructed by the butted jointure of the opposed edges of a rectangular plate, with a flange at one end to engage another component, and nearly closed at the other save for a central hole of diameter 3.5mm. A pair of moulded ribs pass round the cylinder at its midpoint.
