An incomplete copper-alloy harness hook with a conical knob terminal at the base. The hook is cylindrical in cross-section near the terminal, but flattens out at the hooked end where it is worn, curves inwards and is spllt into two then broken and incomplete. The length is 30.7mm, the width is 15.5mm and the weight is 5.09g. Compare SUR-8C6ACE, WMID-4678CD, etc.

Copper alloy hook. Cast round section shank of diameter 6.4mm with an elongated hemispherical terminal at one end and a D-section blunt hook at the other. Read (2008, page 215 no. 774) suggests a possibly equine function suspending another object, and perhaps swivelling at its bulbous end. The terminal retains small patches of white metal plating. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500. Length: 50.5mm, Width: 17.1mm, Diameter (terminal): 15.5mm, Weight: 26.61gms
