Copper alloy casting gate or spure, possibly Bronze Age. The top of the object is sub-oviform/figure of eight shape with flat but rough surface. The top is 46.6mm in length and 32.4mm at its widest point. The top of object divides in to two sub-circular projections which taper to inward facing flat prongs at their ends. Projections diverge 13mm from top of object at approximately 75 degrees from each other and terminate at 20mm and 21mm from the point of divergence. The maximum height of object is 46.6mm and the weight is 118.0g.

Copper alloy Possible Manufacturing Waste. A cast round section rod or sprue with two pairs of opposed oval lugs set circa 9mm apart. One side of the object bears brown staining, though whether this is unpatinated metal or a ferrous concretion is uncertain. Apart from this area, the object has a pale green surface. Suggested date: Medieval, 1100-1500. Length: 32.32mm, Width: 16.94mm, Thickness: 8.95mm, Weight: 10.3gms.

Probably a copper-alloy Bronze Age casting gate or jet. The gate has a flat sub-circular platform with ten integral conical projections on the underside. The projections splay outwards at a slight angle. Some of the projections are now incomplete. The platform varies slightly in thickness and has a sub-circular perforation just off the centre point. The diameter of the platform is 28.6mm, the length of the platform and projection is 15.4mm and the weight is 35.24g.

Copper alloy (bronze) casting waste of uncertain date; most probably Mid - Late Bronze Age (1500-700 BC). However, due to the lack of context and the continuation of casting styles this artefact could be dated from Bronze Age - Roman period (c. 1500 BC - 450 AD). This fragment is from the neck (funnel / well) of a composite probably two part mould. The casting waste is conical; being oval in plan and D shaped in cross section.
