An incomplete cast lead alloy post medieval button. The solid biconvex head is decorated with a moulded cross with a raised pellet in the centre and one in each quarter. On the base of the head is the remains of a separate iron wire shank, which is embedded in the head. The diameter is 15.3mm, the surviving length is 15.0mm and the weight is 11.77g.

Buttons. Two cast flat discoid buttons with drawn wire loops (now lost). The smaller, of diameter 16.7mm, thickness 1.3mm and weight 2.62gms, has a boss on the back retaining the stub of a drawn wire loop, and a machine engraved motif of star and double border on its front. The larger button, of diameter 22.3mm, thickness 2.8mm and weight 5.35gms, thickens towards the central stub of the loop, and is plain on its front. Suggested date: Modern, 1850-1950.

Flat composite button, comprising a cast outer ring with possibly milled inner edge and a fringed outer edge - perhaps representing a floral design - with an inset disc into the back of which a separate wire loop is inserted. The button front is decorated by wire coils arranged around a central knop; many of these are now lost. White metal plating remains on the outer ring.
