The rectangular buckle frame is recessed for the frame and is folded at both ends. The frame has a pinhole for the cast copper alloy pin, two rivet holes and the front is decorated with a border of two rocker-arm lines. On either side of the forked spacer are two sheet copper alloy plates secured by a single copper alloy rivet at the distal end. Both the plates are undecorated except for two notches at the distal end. There are also traces of organic matter between the plates. There are two more similar knobs on either side of the integral plate. Looped through a hole on the plate is a copper alloy pin. There are the remains of gilding on the front of the plate, near the pin hole. Only a fragment of the copper alloy plate survives. The surviving length is 20.7mm, the width is 14.7mm, the maximum thickness is 5.1mm and the weight is 2.32g.

The strap bar is narrowed with a knop on both ends and has traces of iron corrosion from the missing pin. The surface of the frame is silvery which suggests that it has been tinned. The length is 23.7mm, the width is 18.8mm, the thickness is 2.6mm and the weight is 29.7mm.

Looped around the strap bar is a cast copper alloy pin. The rectangular copper alloy buckle plate is folded and recessed for the strap bar and has a slot for the pin. The plate has four of the five remaining copper alloy rivets. The back of the plate is lozenge shaped and between the plates is a surviving fragment of leather. An incomplete and slightly worn cast copper alloy medieval buckle plate. The rectangular plate bears the figure of a lion facing right with its tail curved over its back. The plate expands from 17.0mm at the outer edge of the plate which is recessed for the pin to 19.0mm at the inside edge. There are two rivets at the outer edge and the back is plain. There are no signs of gilding or enamel. The length is 30.9mm, the width varies between 17.0mm to 19.0mm, the thickness is 2.1mm and the weight is 6.56g.
