Copper alloy annular brooch. Circular frame of flattened section, possibly decorated with angled circumferential banding and clustered rosettes - the latter features are less certain, and may arise from corrosion - with a cast pin looped around a constriction in the band. The latter feature indicates this to be a brooch rather than a buckle. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1300. Diameter: 16.9mm, Band width: 2.9mm, Band thickness: 1.2mm, Weight: 0.89gms.

Copper alloy possible annular brooch. Cast annular frame of oval section, with two low sub-triangular lugs standing proud of the surface on one side; these are separated by about one quarter of the circumference of the ring, and it is suggested they are intended to limit the movement of a pin (now lost). It is possible a further lug occurs on the same side, but if so, it is even more worn than those noted above. It is admitted the distinction between an annular brooch and a circular buckle frame is arbitrary. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350. Diameter: 24.6mm, Width (of band):…

Copper alloy possible annular brooch. Cast annular frame of worn hexagonal section, slightly twisted, and narrowed at one or two points which may admit the possibility that a pin has been lost. Copper alloy possible annular brooch. Cast annular frame of worn hexagonal section, markedly narrowed at one point indicating localised heavy wear, or possibly that a pin has been lost; the object seems too light to serve as a harness ring. Copper alloy annular brooch fragment. Cast D-section beaded band, narrowed at a well-defined constriction for a pin (lost). About one quarter of an estimated 50mm diameter survives; this is at the larger end of the size range for medieval - and early medieval - annular brooches. The beading appears to be a continuous rather than a zoned decoration; this, and the predominantly medieval date of finds accompanying this object, tends to suggest a medieval date. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1350. Estimated diameter: 50mm, Width of band: 5.8mm, Thickness of band: 4.1mm, Weight: 4.47gms.

Copper alloy and glass annular brooch. Cast flat banded annular brooch with six collets set equidistantly around its inner edge, along with sixteen copper alloy pins of length 3.8mm and diameter circa 1.5mm (a further pin is lost). Of the six collets, four retain bright white fixative indented where stones have been lost, and two retain rounded emerald green stones of diameter 3.5mm. The collet walls are very thin, typically less than 0.5mm and some about half that thickness. A pin, probably of drawn wire, is looped through a drilled hole in the inner edge of the band.
