Silver Gilt Dress Hook fragment, Read Class D Type 6. A denticulated back plate retains three hemispherical boses with rings of granulated decoration. A rivet or split pin passes through the centre of the back plate with its ends splayed behind the plate. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600. Similar examples can be found from Duxford, Cambridge (TAR 2003, ref. 232, p. 119, 2003 T85) and Winterton, North Lincolnshire (PAS ref: BM-CEC4A2, 2011 T108) Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stip…
