Iron probable chisel blade fragment. A sub-rectangular bar, very slightly splayed as it tapers towards a cutting edge, which is damaged, probably by wear in antiquity. In profile of an elongated V form. The form of hand tools of wrought iron changed little through the historical period, though in this case the survival of enough metal to lend some weight to the object might hint at a later period in the broad date range which is all that can be offered.
