Sixpence of William III (1689-1702), bent twice to an S profile as a keepsake, though retaining an unusual amount of surface detail for such an object, which are usually reported worn smooth; dated 1697. Obverse description: Bust laureate draped and cuirassed right. A letter, possibly B on its side, below bust Obverse inscription: GVLIELMVS III DEI.GRA Reverse description: Cruciform shields large crown over harp.
