Dark grey flint with cortex spot, blade, as kindly identified by the finder. Narrow flake with long narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a tiny bulb at the narrower end of a markedly concave ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect may follow the rounded end. A light misty patina may arise from a limited period of exposure to a calcareous environment. The underlying tint of the flint is revealed by adventitious recent chips. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Length: 40.9mm, Width: 18.5mm, Thickness: 7.9mm, Weight: 4.80gms

Pale brown flint with reforming cortex, blade, as kindly identified by the finder. A thin flake with long parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a slightly concave ventral surface; a striking platform lies at the broader end. Cortex has begun reforming along two struck facets; elsewhere white from exposure to a calcareous environment. The tint of the flint is revealed by a tiny recent chip. Suggested date: late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Length: 39.4mm, Width: 8.7mm, Thickness: 3.3mm, Weight: 0.98gms

Grey flint blade. A narrow thin flake with three long parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and an effectively flat ventral surface. Dense white patina suggests a subsequent period of exposure to a calcareous environment, the tint of flint is revealed where the patina is chipped at one end. Dark brown flint blade fragment. A flake with three long parallel bladelets struck from its dorsal side and a flat rippled ventral surface, presenting a flat trapezoid section. Very fine serrations, more readily felt than observed, run along the long edges – both remain sharp. A negative hinge fracture appears at the narrower end and the broader end is recently broken. The lack of patina may hint at the recent disturbance of this object from a sealed context.
