Copper alloy coin. possibly an As of an indeterminate 1st-century ruler, and if so, possibly an irregular or military issue, possibly Reece periods 2 to 4 . However, the light weight initially suggested this might be a large module Nummus, probably of Magnentius or Decentius (350-353), Reece period 18. The obverse legend has possibly been removed and the reverse smoothed; in the former case this could be through long wear, and in the latter, perhaps deliberately.
