A copper-alloy bead. Several such beads are recorded on the PAS database. A copper-alloy ring of uncertain date and function. Such artefacts are relatively common finds and probably served a variety of functions. The small size of this piece suggests it may be a bead. The patination indicates a possible Iron Age to Roman date. The ring has a convex outer surface and slightly flattened inner surfaces. The diameter decreases significantly at one point, possibly as a result of wear. The surfaces bear possible traces of a white-metal coating and are corroded.
