An incomplete copper alloy purse bar dating from the medieval to early post-medieval period (c.AD1400 - 1600). The bar includes two arms, of circular cross-section extending from opposite sides of a central block having a circular channel extending completely through from top to bottom. The loop and swivel are missing. The block is generally cuboid (16.02 x 10.31 x 14.07mm) with a hemispherical depression in its lower surface leading to semicircular cut-outs at the bottom edge of its front and reverse faces. A complete, cast, copper-alloy miniature socketed axehead dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman periods, c. 200 BC-AD 100. The axe is in the shape of a Late Bronze Age socketed axe, with a moulded socket collar, a wide body and widely splayed blade. The blade is asymmetric. At the top of the axe head, towards the socket, is a projecting circular loop that may be a suspension ring. Incomplete medieval silver penny of uncertain ruler and date. The metal is in good condition. Surfaces are worn, especially on the obverse. The coin has been neatly clipped to the inner circle so all legends are missing. The obverse is worn to the extent that no detail can be read. Reverse shows cross, which appears to extend beyond inner circle, so it is recorded as long cross type (with three pellets in each quarter). Diameter: 13.96mm Thickness: 0.1mm Weight: 0.4g

Complete copper-alloy button and loop fastener of the late Iron Age to the second century AD. Wild (1970) Class II. Overall, it is in good condition with a dark brown patina. Button and loop fasteners are characterised by a decorative stud element and a loop. The Class II (ring headed) varieties were formed by a ring (with flattened cross-section) with and area of simple lip-moulding.
