A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman open work hound and hare folding knife handle. All that remains is the terminal end, depicting the tail of the hound which touches the solid rectangular part of the handle. It has two parallel pairs of vertical decorative grooves across it and its upper edge is moulded. At its terminal end the vertical slot, which runs through it and the rest of the handle, can be seen. An incomplete looped transitional palstave axehead dating to the Middle-Late Bronze Age dating from about 1250 - 950BC. The palstave is a transitional type with a deeply undercut stop. All that remains is the centre of the axehead, with the terminals of the blade and butt missing. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy anthropomorphic buckle frame. The plate is openwork in the form of a stick figure, with stylised arms forming sub rectangular loops on either side of a slim body with bifurcating legs below, these ending in old breaks. The body and limbs are decorated with rocker arm zig zag decoration. The head is ovate and convex projecting out from the flat body and has crude features of eyes and mouth defined by deep incisions. From the top of the head projects a rounded attachment loop retaining a rivet for attachment to the strap.

A cast copper alloy spectacle (double loop) buckle of c.1550-1650. There are angular lobed knops at two symmetrical points on the external edge of each loop and at either end of the strap bar. The front of the buckle frame has a tapered edge on the loops and strap bar. The reverse has a plain flat surface. File marks are evident on its front surface. The loop of an iron pin is present but missing the main formation of the pin. It has suffered a wide break on one loop. An example can be seen in 'Buckles 1250-1850' by Ross Whitehead fig.382.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Early Medieval (Late Anglo-Saxon) strap-end, of Thomas Class B, Type 1, dating to the period AD 750-1100. The attachment end is split into two sub-rectangular plates with a bi-lobed upper edge with two circular perforations through both plates. Two opposite corners of the plates and the corresponding holes are broken. The plates conjoin at the D-shape shaft which narrows gradually to a sub-square terminal. A single iron spearhead of Early-Medieval date (c.6th to 7th century AD). Swanton type E3. The spearhead is almost complete but in bent condition. The remains of the head weigh c.362.0g. Use of a flexible dress-maker's tape-measure shows the artefact to have had a length of c.347mm and in its current bent condition it occupies a straight length of c.339mm between tip and socket end. The maximum width, across the head's shoulders, is 46.2mm. The thickness at that location is c.12.7mm. The spearhead has a very shallow lozenge shaped cross-section along its length. …

A near complete cast copper-alloy casting jet or gate of Late Bronze Age date (c.1300-800) Description: The object is pointed-oval in plan, and conical in profile, with broken sprues at the apex and casting seems running from these, along the pointed sides to the base.
