Tertiary hard hammer, sub-triangular struck flake, of brown/orange patinated flint, one long side of the flake is the “step” of hinged flake scar, this has made a long lip along this edge, the opposing long edge has fine retouch or use wear along its edge, the platform has been neatly trimmed from the dorsal face to straighten it. A near complete probable polished stone axehead dating from the Neolithic period. The axe is sub-rectangular in plan, oval in cross section.
