Flint blade, oblong in plan and lozenge shaped in profile. On the dorsal side the left margin has a jagged notched denticulated edge. The right margin is possibly a cutting edge. The distal and proximal ends have been snapped. On the ventral side the left margin is finely notched as is also the right margin. It is cream toned with iron stains in colour. Butler (2005) illustrates a similar example on page 131, Fig. 55, No. 4 which is dated to the Neolithic period.

Blade, local greensand chert, with trimmed edge. The retouch is on the dorsal side only, fine retouch on upper right hand edge and mid left hand edge. Possible snap shows on mid left hand margin, with incipient notch. There is a prominent bulb of percussion on ventral face. No cortex remains and no signs of burning. The chert is of a dark brown colour and was likely derived from a local beach pebble. Mercer [1981] illustrates a similar example on page 129, Fig.56, No.L97 which is dated from the middle Neolithic.

A medial segment of a blade with straight parallel margins but complex dorsal scars and a distal nodular cortical patch. The blade has been damaged by fire with a pit spalled in the ventral surface. The hackly fractured right angled truncation has been utilised for its grinding properties. Dihedral facets have been ground in the opposite end. There is some use of the sharp margins with the left finely retouched. Mercer(1981) illustrates a blade segment on page 143, fig 63, L 196.

Possibly flint hand tool of Neolithic date. A fragment of a flint pebble, 125mm long and 40mm wide, with cortex still present on the remaining original, rounded surface. The flint is blue-grey in colour, with some cream mottling. Some retouching is visible along one internal edge, creating a subtle serrated edge possibly used for cutting. If truly a deliberately worked flint, it is an ad-hoc tool produced for emergency use, rather than a tool following the styles and conventions of known prehistoric tools.

Flint blade with hinge fracture at distal end. There are the very minimal remains of non beach cortex at upper right hand edge, dorsal view. Signs of fine retouching along right hand edge, ventral view. Signs of polish, probably from use wear on the lower right hand edge, dorsal view. There is rough, natural fracturing along the lower edge, right hand side, on the dorsal side. No signs of burning or heating. The flint is brown in colour and was derived from nodular flint. Flint serrated blade with ripples of percussion that are clearly visible on the ventral face. The dorsal face has a raised medial ridge with removals either side. The left margin retains its cortex and the right margin has fine retouch to sharpen it with tiny serrations. The flint is dark brown in colour with cream inclusions. The blade is made of fine dark brown-grey flint and still retains its bulb of percussion and conchoidal rippled, visible from the ventral face. The left mesial edge from the dorsal face has been retouched near to the distal edge, suggesting that this blade was blunted on the left side to facilitate a left-handed user and a right sided cutting edge.
