Fragment from a polished stone axehead of Neolithic date (c. 4000 - 2350 BC), made from stone from Langdale, Cumbria. The fragment is light green in colour, with a smooth polished surface. The fragment seems to be from the butt end of the axehead; a small section of tapered edge from the butt end is evident, as well as one side edge. Much of the original face survives on one side but is largely missing on the other. Overall, the axehead appears to have been pointed oval in section. The arrowhead is pear-shaped in form with shape angles at the tip and widest points. It is bifacially worked with invasive, scaled, low-angle retouch on the dorsal face and minimal edge retouch on the ventral face. The flint is mottled grey and white in colour. Horse-shoe shaped flint scraper. Retouched at about 45 degrees around 60% of edge, cortex present on back, this is of a type that suggests that the implement was made from a flint cobble rather than mined flint. Made from pale grey, opaque flint darkening towards one edge.

Fragment of a flint arrowhead representing its lower part, the point being missing. The projectile is thin and both faces bear a shallow retouch around their edges, the central areas bearing single flake scars. A translucent, light grey flint was used in the production of this implement.

A complete flint blade or tool. It matches the shape of an arrowhead, but has been attributed to other types of activity. The tool is drop shape in plan and pointed oval in section. There is one pointed end and one rounded end. The flint is dark grey in colour. This may be some form of Neolithic knife or an unfinished or poorly fashioned arrow head.

Flint axe, triangular in plan and lenticular in profile and section, tapering to a point at the butt end and squared off at the blade end. The axe is bifacially and bimarginally reworked throughout. There is no polishing on the blade and it is difficult to identify any surface gloss as the whole axe has a surface sheen. The cutting edge is symmetrical in profile suggesting that the implement would have been used as an axe rather than an adze.
