A complete flint notched scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in profile and is plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface retains a large amount of cortex, all edges have been partially flaked in a scaled pattern. All edges contain fine, semi-abrupt retouch. There is a notched/ semi-circular recess in the mesial portion of the left hand edge. The ventral surface is smooth with the exception of a hinged flake removal towards the distal end. The lithic retains some cortex and is therefore a secondary flake. The flint is a light orange/brown in c…

A complete flint notched scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in profile and is concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains a single predominant negative scar and retains cortex along the length of the left hand edge. The proximal edge has been abruptly blunted and the distal, left and right hand edges contain fine, semi-abrupt retouch. There is a notched/ semi-circular recess in the mesial portion of the right hand edge. The ventral surface is smooth, slightly concave with a small bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end with shall…

A complete flint scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in profile and is plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface retains the majority of its cortex with minor flakes removed along all edges. All edges contain fine, semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is smooth, slightly concave with a small bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end. The lithic retains a large amount of cortex and is therefore a primary flake. The flint is a dark grey in colour with cream inclusions throughout. The cortex is a mid-brown in colour.

A complete flint scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in profile and is plano-concave in section. The dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars and corresponding arrises. All edges contain fine, semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is smooth, slightly concave with a small bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake. The flint is a light grey in colour with cream and dark grey inclusions throughout.
