A fragment of a ceramic vessel of probable Iron Age date (800 BC - AD 43). Length: 19.0mm; width: 28.0mm and 11.0mm thick. Weight: 5.87g.
This undecorated fragment is part of the rim and is sparsely tempered with relatively large pieces of whitish angular flint. The coarse surface is a brown (Munsell Color 7.5YR 5/4). There is insufficient rim to enable the diameter of the vessel to be estimated.
The fragment is in a stable condition and has fresh breaks.

Base fragment of a Late Iron Age or Early Roman amphora (100 BC - AD 100). Length 110mm and width 90mm. The thickness of the wall of the vessel is about 13mm. Weight 450g.
The fabric of this vessel fragment is a reddish yellow colour (Munsell Color 5YR 6/6) and is evenly tempered with small unidentifiable inclusions. The fragment is partially covered with marine growth. It has old and abraded breaks.

A body sherd of a black burnished ware vessel of Late Iron Age to Roman date (c. 50 BC – c. AD 250). Length: 46.6mm; width: 33.0mm and 13.1mm thick. Weight: 20.05g.
The reduced fabric is dark grey with a very dark grey inner and outer surface. It is tempered with rounded quartz and crushed angular flint. The sherd comes from close to the base of a vessel, possibly a jar. The breaks are old and abraded. The lower break may have occurred along a coil junction.

A rim sherd from a bead-rim jar of Late Iron Age to Roman date. The sherd has an irregular shape. It has a rounded body below the small rim. The rim has a very shallow curvature suggesting a large vessel. The sandy fabric has some flint inclusions, less than 5%, fairly poorly sorted. The outer surface has a black burnished appearance while below the surface the clay is browner with occasional red tinges.

The abraded base from a pottery vessel of probable Late Iron Age date. The base is now sub-circular and very shallowly convex. Walls continue for up to 12.6mm beyond the solid base which is up to c. 20.0mm thick. The walls begin to flare out slightly, the object having narrowed to a diameter of c. 40.0mm from the base. The fabric is quite a fine one that has largely oxidised a dull orange colour.

A worn and abraded rim sherd from a large late Iron Age or early Roman bead rim jar. The fragment is roughly quadrilateral in shape. The fabric is a coarse, sandy one, with sparse large flint inclusions. It varies from orange to brown in colour. The rim is up to over 22mm thick and 18.75mm deep. The jar may have manufactured in south Hampshire or possibly at the Alice Holt/Farnham kilns on the Hampshire/Surrey border.

The sherd weighs 77.78 grams.

A group of 70 roman vessel sherds from a limited area within a field known to have produced Iron Age and Roman material. Various pieces show signs of burning, some of which is quite intense. All of the diagnostic examples are 1st century AD in date, with nothing to suggest anything later than the mid-2nd century.

Cast copper-alloy vessel fitting in the form of a stylised bull's head incorporating a slot and right-angled flange designed to be fitted to a vessel rim. The neck extends in a long curving bow-like section behind the head, it is decorated on its front surface with two parallel grooves; the bow terminates in a rounded flange also for attachment. Stylistically the closest parallels come in the form of Late Iron-Age fire-stands such as that from Baldock, Herts.
