RIC IV.2, p. 48, no. 241 Thickness: 1.7 mm Weight: 2.2 g Diameter: 18.4 mm A few bubbles of corrosion are visible on the surface, indicating this may be either a base or potentially a plated denarius.

VENVS CAELESTIS type, depicting Venus seated left, holding a sceptre and an apple, with a child at her feet. Mint of Rome. RIC IV.2, p. 48, cf. no. 243. The coin has broken between 12 and 6 o'clock on the obverse. It is covered in patches of green and orange corrosion product, suggesting that the coin was made from an alloy of copper alloy and iron. Diameter: 17.6mm; Thickness: 1.7mm; Weight: 1.40g.
