Silver hammered Elizabeth I groat (1558-1603 AD). Obverse is very worn, all trace of bust completely invisible. Legend: [ELIZABETH ]D G ANG [FR ET HI REGINA]. Reverse features very worn long cross fourchee within beaded circle. Legend: [P]OS[VI] DEV ADIVTOR[EM MEV]. Mint marks are not legible. Flan is irregular, probably due to clipping.

A complete silver Irish groat of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) of the 'Fine coinage' dating to 1561. Initial mark: Harp. Spink (2003: 152) no.6506.
Obverse: crowned bust facing left with beaded circles and legend which reads "ELIZABETH: D'.G.'A'. F'.ET. HIBERNIE. RE", The abbreviated Latin legends translate as "Elizabeth by the Grace of God, Queen of England, France and Ireland".
