A post-Medieval silver coin: a three halfpence of Elizabeth I (1558- 1603), second issue, dated 1561, Pheon initial mark. It is 16.8mm in diameter and 0.5mm thick. It weighs 0.72gm. See North, volume 2, page 135, number 2000.
The coin is slightly double struck on the obverse to the left hand side. There is a slight amount of wear to the obverse and reverse and it is slightly clipped and bent in places.

A Post Medieval silver hammered coin of Elizabeth I (AD 1558- 1603). The coin is a threehalfpence with rose and date (dated 1561), and a Pheon mintmark on obverse and reverse. The coin is a large flan type with inner beaded circle diameter 12.5 mm. See Spink (2011) 2568, p 255 for a similar example.
