Groat or sixpence of Elizabeth I, dating to 1558-65. Both the last figure of the date on the reverse and the mint mark are illegible, but the mint mark could be a lis (1558-60). The last digit of the year, however, looks more like a '1'.

Silver hammered halfgroat of Elizabeth, mint mar: bell (1582-83). The mint mark is fairly clear when looking at the coin, and the inscription starts with ELIZABETH and not ELIZAB. There are no pellets or rose behind bust and there is no date above shield. However, there were no halfgroats with that inscription after 1572 and all issues with the bell-mintmark (1582-3) have either pellets or roses or behind the bust.
