Obverse - Crowned bust of Queen, rose behind head; Reverse - Long Cross over Royal shield, dated c 1580 AD over top of shield There is an additional unusual feature to both the obverse, and reverse of the coin On the Obverse there is an additional Cross on top of the crown that breaks through the pelleted border. And on the Reverse there is Floral Foliage between the shield and the pelleted border

The obverse inscription reads: ELIZABETH DG ANG FR ET HI - REGINA (Elizabeth by the grace of god of England France and England). The reverse shows a long cross over the royal shield. 1561 above shield. The reverse inscription reads: POSVIDEU ADIVTOREM MEV (I have made God my helper). Mint mark Pheon c. 1561 - 65.
