An Elizabeth I silver sixpence, fifth issue, c. AD 1591 - 1594. The obverse shows a large bust of the Queen with hair swept back and a rose behind the bust with the inscription: ELIZABETH DG ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA (Elizabeth by the Grace of God, Queen of England, France, and Ireland). The reverse shows a long cross over the Royal Shield with 1593 above the shield. The inscription reads: POSUI DEU ADIVTOREM. Mint mark Tun.

A silver hammered threepence of Elizabeth I, reigned 1558-1603. Obverse shows crowned bust left with rose behind head. Initial mark is portcullis which gives a date range of 1565/6-1566/7. Obverse legend reads ELIZA[BETH] D.G ANG.F[...RE]GINA. Reverse shows long cross fourchee over royal shield - 156[6] above. Reverse legend reads POSVI/DEV.AD/[IVTOR]E/M.MEV. This threepence is of the second coinage which has a sate range of 1561-1582. Die axis is 3 o'clock, weight is 1.20g, diameter is 19.60mm, thickness 0.46mm. See North Vol. II, p.135, no.1998.

A silver half groat coin of Elizabeth I 1558-1603. Obverse: bust left facing with two pellets behind head. Legend reads E D G ROSA SINE S[PI]NA. The obverse is in good condition with significant wear only over the mintmark and area of [PI] on the legend. Slight wear obscures details of dress but ruff, hair, face and crown are clear.
