A silver groat of Elizabeth I, AD 1558-1603, dating to AD 1558-1560. Obverse shows a crowned bust left. Obverse mint mark is a Lis, AD 1558-1560. Obverse legend reads ELIZABETH.D.'G.'ANG.'FRA.'Z:HIB[ ]REGI.' Reverse shows a long cross fourchee over a Royal shield. Reverse mint Mark is also a Lis. Reverse legend reads: POSVI/DEV.'AD/IVTORE/M MEV'. Die axis is 7 o'clock. Weight is 2.03g, diameter is 23.9mm, thickness is 0.8mm.
