An incomplete silver coin, probably a Post-Medieval sixpence of Elizabeth I, AD 1558-1603. Only approximately one quarter of the flan survives. What does remain of this coin is extremely worn, bent with a crack running across it and and has had all tarnish cleaned off of it.. As such very little of what is probably the lower left side of a 'crowned bust left' is barely visible in raking light. The obverse legend reads: [...]G'.[...]. Some of the edge of the flan has broken away from the coin. This break extends along the circumference for c.11.8mm into the flan for a maximum depth of 2.2mm.
