Obv: SER GALBA IMP CAESAR AVG TR P Rev: EX S C OB CIVES SERVATOS within a wreath Ref: RIC 1(2) (Galba), 385/6 Note (David Shotter pers comm): Whilst his denarii are quite commonly found in the North West, the aes issues are much less so. This coin was a deliberate attempt by Galba to link himself with the memory of Augustus.
