A complete but worn copper-alloy Roman sestertius of Nero (AD 54-68), dating to the period c.AD 65 (Reece period 3). ADLOCVT COH, S C, reverse type depicting Nero standing left with praetorian prefect on platform, raising right hand to three soldiers standing right. Probably mint of Lyon. cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 174, no. 389. This appears to be the first of this issue recorded on this database.
