Silver siliqua of Valens AD 364-378, dating to AD 364-7 (Reece period 19). The flan is cracked. Obverse pearl-diademed draped and cuirassed bust right. Legend reads: D N VALEN-S P F AVG. Reverse: Wreath enclosing VOT V (appears like X) MV(•?)LT X. Mint of Rome, - // RB. RIC IX, p. 118, cf. no. 10c; Hoxne p. 137, cf. no. 201. Weight 1.6g Thickness 1.2mm Diameter 17mm. The V on the reverse does look like an X so might be a die-engraver's error; there does appear to be a dot in the middle of MV•LT which is common for the type.
