A Roman silver siliqua (unclipped), contemporary copy of a coin of Valens, c.364-378 AD. Reverse: PAX RO-MANORVM, Emperor standing facing, head right, holding labarum and (Victory on a globe). 'Antioch' mint prototype. The reverse type is normally associated with the inscription RESTITVTOR REI PVBLICAE (although without a seated captive to right), so the coin might be a loose copy of RIC IX, p. 273, no. 7a.
