A silver clipped siliqua of the House of Theodosius (possibly of Magnus Maximus, AD 383-88), probably dating to c. AD 383-88 (Reece Period 20), VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated facing. Mint of Milan. The obverse has been double stamped, reading MDP near the emperor's face.
Obverse description: Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed right
Obverse inscription: Garbled from double stamp
Reverse description: Roma seated front, head left, holding globe & reversed spear.
Reverse inscription: VIRTVS [ROMAN]ORVM
