A copper alloy Roman coin, probably a nummus of Licinius II (AD 317-24), dating to AD 320-1 (Reece Period 16), VIRTVS EXERCIT, Two captives seated either side of standard, inscribed VOT XX. Mint of Trier, T F // (P/S)TR. RIC VII, p. 189, cf. no. 298. It is 19mm long, 17.2mm wide and 1.7mm thick. It weighs 2.1gm. The edges of the coin are damaged and it is corroded, but it has vey little wear.

The obverse type is unclear, but might be a laureate and cuirassed bust right with shield, but this type is not recorded for Licinius at Trier, London or Lyon. In fact, in RIC, this type is only struck for Licinius II at Trier, c. AD 321.
