A Roman copper alloy contemporary copy of a nummus of Constantine I (AD 306-37), prototype dating to AD 320 (Reece Period 16), VIRTVS EXERCIT, Two captives seated either side of standard. Prototype Mint of Trier. RIC VII, p. 187, cf. no. 266. Measuring 15-16mm. The nummus has slight wear, is a bit short of flan. The standard is much slimmer than on the regular issue.
