A copper alloy contemporary copy of a nummus of Maximian I, dating to c. AD 303-305 (Reece Period 15). Reverse: GENIO POPVLI ROMANI. Prototype from mint of London. Cf. RIC VI, p. 125, no. 25. The coin is pierced by a single central hole 4 mm across and with a single cut from the hole to the coin edge which has opened up.
