A copper-alloy Roman radiate of Carausius, dating to the period AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). The reverse legend is unclear: it is possibly (PA?)(X?) (A?)(VG?) or (LI?)(T?)(I?) (AV?)[G?] - this might be a blunderd version of the LITIT AVG series. The type is Providentia standing left, holding globe and cornucopiae. The style of the obverse suggests it is quite possibly an official issue from an 'Unattributed Mint'. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's Corpus for RIC, there being no other similar example recorded. When the new RIC volume on Carausius is complete, this coin might be …

A Roman low silver or copper-alloy 'Barbarous Radiate' with a radiate crowned emperor on the obverse and a standing figure on the reverse. This is probably a copy of a coin of Tetricus I (AD 271-274), dating to the period AD 275-285 (Reece period 13). The mint is uncertain. Obverse:- Radiate and cuirassed bust right. Reverse:- Standing female figure left, possibly Laetitia holding purse and anchor. The legends, except for a small piece of illegible lettering on the reverse, have been obliterated.

Roman copper alloy radiate of Carausius dating to the period AD 286 - 293 (Reece Period 14). SPES PVBLIC reverse type depicting Spes standing left, holding flower and robes. Mint unclear. It is just possible that there are field letters on the reverse, but it is most likely clear. This is supported by an obverse legend with out C[aesar] between IMP and CARAVSIVS.... Furthermore, in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC this type is only recorded for unmarked pieces. RIC V pt.2, p. 542, cf. no. 1008. The coin is fragmentary, broken in two pieces with patination along the break suggesting a…
