Obverse: IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG; Laureate, draped and cuirassed right Reverse: RENOVAT ROMANO; Wolf right, suckling twins Mintmark: - // RSR RIC V, pt 2, p. 513, no. 571 Carausian denarii are in general rare, but the reverse type with wolf and twins is the most common. About 16 coins of this particular type are known. Its obverse and reverse dies can be linked to other coins known to Sam Moorhead.
