A Post-Medieval copper alloy cup weight, probably for 2 oz avoirdupois. It is circular in plan and trapezoidal in vertical section.  It measures 35.4 mm in diameter at the top and 29 mm at the base. The wall thickness is c.8.5 mm and the height is 25 mm. The object weighs 59.6 g (2.1 oz).  It has a flat horizontal rim and a flat exterior base.  It is cast and turned on a lathe; there is a lathe centring point on the flat interior base.  There is some indication of file marks on the edge of the base. A complete copper alloy trade weight, one of a set that would have stacked. It is circular with a raised rim, and the weight would suggest that it is 1/2 ounce. Inside are the stamps of a laver or coffee pot, the inspection mark of the Worshipful Company of Founders, who controlled the lawful making of weights in London and for three miles around (Withers and Withers 2011, page 78). A complete copper-alloy weight of medieval date (1200-1350). The weight is roughly conical in shape with a rounded base and flattened apex from which the suspension loop projects (rectangular in cross-section and an inverted V in shape). A flat and relatively thin cast copper alloy disc, 42mm in diameter broken in two pieces found 3m apart. Possibly a post medieval pan (trade) weight of c. 1/16 lb. One side is decorated with a pair of concentric lathe or compass drawn circles. There are no stamps, marks, fittings or attachment scars.

Two more concentric engraved circles are present on the obverse. Within the central circle, a  stamp is present, consisting of a Crowned GR. Post Medieval cast copper alloy trade weight, c.AD -. This weight is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section. The obverse is decorated with three incised lines running around the middle of the face, and a partially-stamped ewer design. The ewer is the London Founders Company mark. The weight is 1.3 g (>60 grains), which allowing for damage and corrosion may well equate to an averdepois dram, which weighed 1.77 grams.
