Medieval weight; Cast lead weight of bell shape: The weight is essentially a circular cone, although it flares out towards the bottom and is flattened at the top. It has a curved suspension loop at the top, formed from a strap of lead, and is pierced in the centre of the base. The weight looks to have been reshaped after casting, although this is difficult to determine as it is also somewhat pitted and gouged across its surface. The lead has a white patina, of varying thickness.
Height 41.3mm, width (“diameter”) 33.4mm, weight 185.3g

A cast lead tall, domed weight. The weight has a large indentation in its base. The surface of the object is pitted and worn. Due to a lack of excavated examples, it is not possible to date this object very precisely but it is most likely to be post-medieval in date.

A small discoidal cast lead object: probably a weight of post-medieval date. The base of the weight is slightly concave while the upper surface features a raised rim. Within the rim there appears to be moulded decoration within a low border. Unfortunately the detail is difficult to discern due to corrosion. It is probable that such a unifacially decorated object in lead would have acted as a small weight.

A large bun shaped lead weight, with a circular, concave base. The weight is undecorated and it has not been perforated. There is a copper alloy loop extending out from the apex of the weight.
A typology of lead weights has not yet been developed, so these weighs are not yet completely understood. Due to the lack of context this weight must remain undated. The weight appears to be complete. The lead is a light whitish-grey colour.
