Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight, 21mm in diameter and 3mm thick. The object is in good condition with a brown patina and weighs 6.4grams. It has a lipped upper edge surrounding a flat surface which is stamped with a ewer and a sword, the marks of the London trade guild. The weight is dated by the st. Georges cross contained within a shield, the mark of the Commonwealth.

Its surface is decorated with the ewer and sword, symbols for the London guild which regulated weights. It has a royal cipher, a crowned I for James I, only the base of the crown is visible.
